tying our knot

We’re getting married — quietly, wildly, and with open hearts.

In mid-September, we’ll climb into the San Juan Mountains above Telluride and hike to a spot where the wind carries the silence. There, we’ll exchange vows — just the two of us — with one of our dearest friends guiding the ceremony, and his wife and daughter as our witnesses.

The ceremony will be small.
Our love is anything but.

A few days later, we’ll open the circle and invite you — our closest friends and family — to join us in celebrating. Not with tradition or timelines, but with connection, laughter, and likely plenty of happy tears.

All in a place so special to us, we couldn’t keep it to ourselves.

We’re so glad you’re here — and we can’t wait to see you there…

gathering

EVENING ONE: WELCOME DRINKS

“SOMETHING BLUE”

5:00p - 7:00p Wednesday September 16th

Location: TBD (still finalizing, but almost certain it will be in Town)
Dress Code: Dressy Casual in Shades of Blue

We’re kicking things off with a relaxed meet and greet at our home base for the week with music, drinks, and connection under the Telluride mountain sky.

In honor of our tying the knot at the Blue Lakes, we’re bringing that magic into the evening with a “Something Blue” theme. Come dressed in your favorite shades of blue—anything from soft chambray to rich navy, slate, or floral prints with a hint of indigo. Denim is more than welcome, and feel free to add your own flair with boots, hats, or turquoise touches.

Women: Flowy dresses or rompers in blue tones, blue floral or patterned prints, denim jackets, boots, wedges, or strappy sandals, turquoise jewelry, cowgirl hats.

Men: Chambray, linen, or button-down shirts with denim or navy pants, boots or loafers, optional jacket or western hat.

THURSDAY MORNING HIKE

“TO THE FALLS”

9:00a - 11:30a Thursday September 17th

Location: Bridal Veil Falls Trailhead
Dress Code: Casual Hiking Attire

If you feel like stretching your legs and starting the day with fresh air and mountain light, we’ll be heading out for a morning hike to Bridal Veil Falls—Colorado’s tallest free-falling waterfall, tucked just above town. The trail is moderate and beautiful, with views of the valley, alpine wildflowers, and the sound of water guiding the way.

At the top, we’ll pause for a little something sweet and rewarding as a group before making our way back down.

Totally optional, totally worth it.

Wear something comfy, bring water and sun protection, and come ready to move at a mellow pace with friends.

Details to follow.

EVENING TWO: COOKOUT

“AMERICANA RUSTIC”

Location: Telluride Town Park
Dress Code: Cozy Casual with a Hint of Americana

For our second night together, we’re keeping things relaxed and fun—think backyard BBQ meets mountain camping vibes. We’ll be gathering under the open sky for good food, cold drinks, and classic cookout energy. Our theme is “Americana Rustic,” inspired by timeless denim, vintage charm, and cozy, layered textures. We invite you to lean into the laid-back feel of the evening with pieces that are comfy, nostalgic, and effortlessly cool.

Women: Sundresses, flowy skirts, flannels, vintage-inspired florals, red or blue accents, gingham, cozy knits, boots or casual flats. Don’t forget a layer for when the sun goes down.

Men: Denim or workwear-style pants, flannels, henleys or rugged button-downs, boots or sneakers. Optional jacket, puffer vest, or beanie to keep things mountain-ready.

5:30p - Sunset Thursday September 17th

EVENING THREE: RING EXCHANGE + DINNER

“MOUNTAIN ROMANCE”

Ring Exchange Location: Telluride Gondola
Dinner Location: There…
Dress Code: Elevated Mountain Attire

We’ll be closing out the weekend with a celebration that blends heartfelt moments with joyful connection—a special evening to gather, witness a ring exchange, and raise a glass together. The theme is Mountain Romance: timeless, soulful, and grounded in the beauty of this place.

After the exchange, we’ll head together to There... a spot that holds so much meaning for us, and one we’re beyond excited to share with all of you. It’ll be an evening of warmth, laughter, and a few unforgettable bites in a space that feels like home.

We’d love to see you in your version of alpine evening style—festive, relaxed, and ready to celebrate under the peaks.

Women: Boho, flowy, or lace dresses, vintage florals, and natural textures like cotton, silk, or velvet. Boots or wedges are perfect, with layers for the alpine air—a shawl, denim jacket, or a chunky sweater. Add your own flair with turquoise, fringe, or a well-loved hat.

Men: Denim, corduroy, or wool trousers—anything with texture and a lived-in feel. Pair with a western or button-down shirt, boots, and an optional layer like a jacket, vest, or bolo tie. Think mountain-dapper: classic, comfortable, and ready for a beautiful evening under the stars.

Details to follow.

EXPLORE MAIN STREET

Downtown Telluride is full of charm. Grab a coffee, browse boutiques, pop into art galleries, or pick up something locally made. If you see a dog on the sidewalk, you are legally required to say hi.

PARK-IT

Steps from Main Street, Telluride Town Park is a perfect place to unwind. Lay in the grass, dip your feet in the creek, throw a frisbee, or just breathe in that San Juan air.

FLY FISH

Telluride is fly fishing heaven — with clear streams, peaceful scenery, and great local guides.

gifting

We kindly ask that you forgo gifts.

At this point in our lives, we’re lucky to have all we need. What means the most to us is the chance to celebrate this moment — whether with you in person, in spirit, or from afar.

And for those joining us in Telluride, we know you’re already giving us so much — your time, your travel, your presence in this place that means the world to us. That alone is a tremendous gift.

That said, if you feel moved to share something, we’d be honored to receive your words.

After the weekend, we’ll be inviting guests to record a short voice note — a piece of advice, a memory, or a reflection of what you witnessed or felt.

We’ll be gathering these messages and pressing them to vinyl — something we can return to over the years, to remember your voices and the spirit of this moment.

There’s absolutely no pressure — just an offering, if and when it feels right. We’ll send out simple instructions after the weekend.

with love…

That’s everything — or at least, everything we can put into words for now.

We’re so grateful to be moving forward into this chapter with hearts full and support from the people we love. Thank you for witnessing us, for celebrating with us, and for being part of this circle.

With all our love,

Samantha + Patrick
